About

Eric Denton/

Started from the bottom, now I’m here. From being a Marketing student (and graduate) in college, through 10 years as a graphic designer, to a high end photography retoucher… In 2016 I decided to make a drastic career maneuver; I headed back to school.

I began my transition with an intensive UX & UI Professional Development course at Nashville Software School (NSS) (UI & UX for Digital Product Design) where my capstone project was aimed at helping handicapped and/or disabled people get easier access to concert tickets. Using the practices of modern day UX, I named and framed the problem, discovered my users and created personas to focus my problem statement, journey mapped their situation, mocked up, and iterated, iterated, iterated my suggestion/solution. This was a great learning experience and is something that I plan to advocate for in the future.

In May 2016, I will be starting a 6 month, full time, bootcamp at NSS with a full-stack curriculum (front-end with HTML, CSS, and Javascript and a back-end focus on Node.JS), and could not be more excited!

Please stay tuned, and wish me luck!
